Research focus

Plant-Microbe Interactions with emphasis on cellular biology (cellular alterations/modifications) of fungi (filamentous fungi/true symbionts) and their host-plants when in interaction, and the molecular biology underneath. Integration in plant-microbe interactions of common, fundamental mechanisms, otherwise triggered upon stimuli of different nature. Triggered mechanisms upon accommodation of microbes within host-plant tissues.
