Holden Maecker is a Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at Stanford University.  His research group is focused on cellular immune responses to chronic pathogens and cancer, and the correlation of those responses with immune protection.

The group has published a number of papers on this topic, both independently and in collaboration with other groups, in systems such as CMV, HIV, tuberculosis, and cancer.

Dr. Maecker also directs the Human Immune Monitoring Center (HIMC), a Stanford core service laboratory, which performs standardized assays using flow cytometry, genomics, and immunoassay platforms.

Since 2010, his lab has gained extensive experience with CyTOF mass cytometry.
