He is a Professor at the department of Biology of the University of Antwerp. Previously, he was a group leader at the department of Plant Systems Biology in the Flemish Institute of Biotechnology and a Post-Doctoral fellow at the University of Missouri. His research is in Plant Growth Regulation using an integrated, systems biology approach involving molecular analyses, microscopy and image analysis and computational modeling
