Lab information

The Ying Hu Group specializes in developing single-molecule and superresolution bioanalytical techniques to study communications within and between immune cells. The research is divided into two main areas: I) technological advancements towards quantitative and live superresolution imaging, and II) leveraging superresolution imaging to investigate how signals are transmitted at and from the plasma and organelle membranes of immune cells in both healthy and diseased states, with the goal of identifying therapeutic targets and underlying mechanisms. The interdisciplinary research integrates bioimaging, biophysics, bioanalytical chemistry, immunobiology, and nanotechnology.
