Lab information

The Yoon lab focuses on the elucidation of the molecular mechanisms that control ethylene biosynthesis and responses. The two main research topics in the Yoon Lab are 1) understanding the molecular mechanisms that regulate ethylene biosynthesis at the post-translational levels, and 2) elucidation of the spatiotemporal dynamics of the ethylene signaling network and its role in plant adaptive response to stress. The Yoon Lab utilizes interdisciplinary techniques, including biochemistry, genetics, and cell biology to elucidate the regulatory mechanism governing ethylene function in plants.
